SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong eye for detail and a passion for keeping financial records accurate and well-organized?

Aruba Wine & Dine Hospitality Group is expanding its Finance team and is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who is ready to take ownership and help ensure our financial administration remains accurate, organized, and audit-ready.

As Senior Accountant, you will play an important role in our day-to-day financial operations. Your main focus will be on balance sheet reconciliations, General Ledger accounting, closing activities, account analysis, and audit preparation. You will work independently while collaborating closely with the rest of the Finance team.

What You'll Do

• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts are accurate and up to date

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain and review General Ledger accounts

• Prepare and process journal entries and correcting entries when required

• Perform account analysis and identify inconsistencies or areas requiring follow-up

• Support and execute month-end and year-end closing activities

• Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and properly documented

• Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for internal and external audits

• Assist auditors and respond to accounting-related questions during the audit process

• Support the Finance team with financial reporting and other accounting activities when required

• Contribute to accurate and efficient financial processes across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Several years of relevant experience in accounting or a similar financial role

• Solid knowledge of General Ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations

• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software

• Hospitality or multi-entity accounting experience is an advantage

• Good command of English; Dutch, Papiamento and/or Spanish is a plus
