We are looking for enthusiastic hosts or hostesses for multiple of our restaurants in Aruba. Do you have an open personality and do you have experience in welcoming guests in restaurants? Wait no longer and apply now!
The ideal candidate has experience in this position. You are customer-focused, hardworking and able to work under pressure. Your age is between 18 and 45 years. You are representative and have a good command of the English language (Spanish and/or Papiamento is a plus). You do not have a 9 to 5 mentality and are willing to work in varying shifts. You will be responsible for:
▪ Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
▪ Assignment and seating of customers
▪ Setup and Cleanliness of the restaurant
▪ Managing the capacity of service areas to ensure good service
▪ Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
▪ Dining room service according to the restaurant’s quality and service standards
▪ Staff supervision and training
▪ Creating a harmonious environment amongst all staff within the restaurant
Main activities
▪ Supervise the taking, setting up and confirmation of reservations
▪ Meet, greet and seat customers arriving at the restaurant
▪ Provide menus and inform customers of the name of their service staff
▪ Manage special seating requests by customers according to availability and balancing of customer flow in service
▪ Check that tables are clean and properly set for customers
▪ Assist service staff with their duties if required
▪ Promote Aruba Wine and Dine’s facilities to potential clients
▪ Handle complaints according to guidelines ensuring that customers leave satisfied and impressed
▪ Communicate with the Manager regarding any problems or changes needed with the service
▪ Ensure the safety of staff and patrons during service and after leaving
▪ Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
▪ Provide weekly reservations and customers report
▪ Carry out any other duties as advised from time to time
Special requirements/tools/equipment/clothing:
▪ Exceptional grooming habits and elegant uniform provided - to be laundered by you and always of a high standard.
▪ Black leather shoes, light makeup, hair tied back if long and groomed, no nose rings or studs, no more than one earring in each ear, no showy rings.
▪ Must have good conduct certificate
▪ Must pass random drug tests
▪ Must be able to work long shifts and on holidays
