Accounting Manager

Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records in a high-volume operational environment. This role focuses on the day-to-day accounting activities and supports strong internal financial control. The ideal candidate has solid expertise in general ledger oversight, cost control, inventory accounting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• ·Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Manage and supervise month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial data.

• Ensure that inventory records are properly maintained and reconciled with financial statements.

• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.

• Implement and improve internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and support operational efficiency.

• Lead and develop the accounting team, setting clear goals, providing direction, and supporting professional growth.

• Monitor and manage departmental budgets and provide accurate cost tracking and variance analysis.

• Identify and drive opportunities for automation and process improvements within the accounting function.

Qualifications:

• Min. associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Hospitality industry experience preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Experience with restaurant or hospitality accounting systems or POS integrations.
